The Simoa® Neurology 4-Plex D (N4PD) Advantage PLUS measures four key neurology biomarkers in blood and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) samples: neurofilament light (NfL), glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP*), ubiquitin carboxyl-terminal hydrolase L1 (UCH-L1*), and the novel biomarker brain-derived Tau (BD-Tau).
These biomarkers play established and emerging roles in the identification, risk assessment and management of diseases across the neurodegenerative spectrum and brain injury. The N4PD Advantage PLUS biomarkers are also available in single-plex or other multiplex formats as part of the Simoa® neurology Advantage PLUS assay family, with comparable performance for individual markers shared across the assay family.
By measuring multiple biomarkers simultaneously, N4PD provides ultra-sensitivity, sample efficiency, and broader insights, with added brain specificity from BD-Tau, all within the ease of a single assay workflow and a single sample input.

Simoa® N4PD Advantage PLUS is a digital immunoassay for the quantitative determination of BD-Tau, NfL, BD-Tau, GFAP*, and UCH-L1* concentrations in human serum, EDTA plasma, and CSF samples.
