IL-22

IL-22 is a member of the IL-10 cytokine family, primarily produced by CD4+ T lymphocytes. It plays a crucial role in regulating key physiological processes, including the innate immune response and tissue regeneration.

Dysregulated IL-22 production or activity has been linked to the pathogenesis of various diseases, such as cancer, infections, impaired wound healing, inflammatory disorders, and autoimmune diseases, including psoriasis, inflammatory bowel disease, rheumatoid arthritis, and multiple sclerosis. Studies in mouse models have shown that IL-22 increases Reg gene expression and promotes the regeneration of β-cells in Type 1 diabetes, suggesting its therapeutic potential for this condition.

The Simoa® IL-22 Advantage PLUS (Product #105605) Assay provides ultrasensitive quantification of IL-22 at femtogram-level sensitivity. It features a fully automated workflow on the HD-X system with lot-matched reagent kits, enabling researchers to obtain scalable and reproducible insights into immune responses related to cancer, infections, inflammatory disorders, and tissue regeneration.
