IL-12 P70
Interleukin 12 (IL-12) is a heterodimeric 70-kDa cytokine, known as IL-12 p70, that is primarily produced by antigen-presenting cells (APCs). It plays a critical role in bridging innate and adaptive immunity by stimulating interferon-gamma (IFN-γ) production from natural killer (NK) cells and T cells. IL-12 p70 promotes the differentiation of naïve T cells into Th1 helper cells, which are essential for priming adaptive immune responses to pathogens recognized by the innate immune system. IL-12 p70 is crucial for immune defense against infections and cancer, while dysregulation of IL-12 p70 has been associated with autoimmune diseases and chronic inflammatory conditions, making it a promising therapeutic target in a range of disorders.
The Simoa® IL-12 p70 Advantage PLUS (Product # 105569) Assay offers ultrasensitive quantification of IL-12 p70 at femtogram-level sensitivity with a fully automated workflow on the HD-X system, enabling researchers to gain scalable and reproducible insights into immune function across various conditions.
